Writing this review after 1 month of use.If you are in a hunt for premium,midrange,bass heavy and best in class audio quality headphones this is the way to go. After all he’s the brother of XM3’s. Dont forget to use Sony’s headphone connect app it really does make a difference. Dont use it straight out of the box. Tune it the way you like. Noice cancellation is good, shuts most of the noises. There is a hint of vibration when listening to bass heavy songs. Comes with aptx,aptx hd,DSEE,LDAC support. No latency at all while watching prime video,youtube or any other app. Its a theatre like experience.Leather cushions are comfortable for longer periods much better than XM3’S. Headcups are also spacious than XM3’s. Type C charger is a boon. Battery life is also the same as claimed by Sony. If you place your right hand on the right side of the headphones it will mute the music and you will be able to listen to the other person. Nice touch. Touch controls are great. Double tap to pause. Swipe up to increase volume swipe down to lower down. Swipe right to next song and left to previous.In the end if you are still not convinced with my review watch “Flossy carter” and “theunlocker” and “GymCaddy” review of the same headphones you will be able to clear your confusion.

• Overall Build Quality is very good.

• Leathered Ear cups and top head is very good quality and premium.
• They are very heavy which is good for long term usage.

• These are Digital Noise cancellation.
• Noise cancellation is very good.
• It cancel all the ambience sound except for some sounds that are of very high pitch like cutting machine and does its job very good.
• For total noise cancellation you need active noise cancellation.
• You get a carry bag to put your headphones and protect them from dust.
• The frame design is great which helps in the fitting of the headphones quit great.
• It doesn’t fall off easily you can use for jogging or even for gymming.
• There are air vents also so that sound and bass doesn’t get trapped and make your ears hurt.
• Regarding the sound quality its superb you can hear voice and music very clearly.
• As these are extra bass edition so these are design for the good and very deep basses without distorting the sound levels at higher volumes.
• These are good for both gaming as well as music but wouldn’t recommend it for movie purposes.
• It contains the 40mm Driver unit which are used in the monitoring headphones that helps in sound output very clear.
• Trebles are also good.
• Headphones port is also given so that if you run out off juice you get the liberty to hear the music on the same headphone thats why i said ”its a life time investment”
• Aux cable is also included.
• Its got USB C port for the charging the headphones.
• It has also got NFC for quick connect to your devices.
• Voice quality of Calling is also good.
• There is not static in the headphones which is very good and are hard to achieve in wireless headphones.
• There is dedicated button to control the noise cancellation meaning that you can switch off the noises cancellation and also switch on the ambient sound while walking on the road are places where environmentally sounds are needed.
• The voice of the system is very good means the it gives voice feedback when you select an option from the headphones.
• You can also check the battery percentage by just clicking on button once while headphones are on it will tell u verbally about the status of the battery.
• Quick Listening to someone there is a feature i.e by placing your hand on right it will low the sound extremely low in order to hear someone who is saying to you.
• You can deeply customise your headphone sound by its dedicated app which let you control the following things below:
> Control the equaliser.
> Control the bass levels.
> Control The surround sound options.
> Configure your sound Levels.
> Change the function of the dedication button to voice assist functionality.
• Headphones support 360 degree audio that is only available via some other music service which are subscriptions based. But trust me if you listen to the 360 audio you will feel you r there sitting in front of the person who is singing.
• There is feature which detects your motion whether your sitting, walking or running through this headphones adjust the sound and noise cancellation accordingly automatically.
• Headphone doesn’t make your ear sweaty at all.
• Battery backup is very good can hear music wirelessly with noise cancellation upto 28-30 hrs depending on the volume.
• App will also make you to take the photos of your ear so that it configure the sound accordingly to you ear shape and size.
• You can control the music playback through touch and swipe controls gestures which is very easy to use once to get used to it.
• Ear cup design is very good and oval shape and your ears does sit on the cushion form. Which helps in not hurting your Ear outside mass.
CONS:

• Bluetooth 4.2 is there no Bluetooth 5.0.
• The plastic of the headphones outside the ear-cups is feels little cheap.

Just go for it trust me you will hear the sounds which you have never heard before In wireless headphones. Price to Quality ratio is very well defined. And Yes Bass is must for music otherwise we got the headphones back in those days with no to little bass and they hurt your ears after long listening. Final thing is you would not need to listen at increase volume to enjoy the music only at 35-40% is more than enough. I give them 8.5/10. Go for it.
Pro Tip:
After usage also pack it in the given carry case so that dust doest accumulated on the headphones and trust me dust is the enemy of headphones.

I’ve been waiting for a long time. I initially considered the MDR-XB950B1 (predecessor). Thankfully my patience was rewarded.
The Sony WH-XB900N over ear headphones are the real deal. For a slightly higher price than the aforementioned MDR headphones, you get:
The pros:
1. Great Bass (not as overpowering): You can tune your sound using the accompanying app on your phone.
2. Great Sound: Again, all fine tuned through the app.
3. Good design: Folds up and easy to pack. Ear pads are nicely cushioned.
4. Easy connectivity: With NFC, this makes it almost seamless
5. Great Battery Life: 30 hours of playback. This lasted me almost a month with 2 charges!
6. Decent Noise Cancellation: Not the best, but it holds up enough.
7. Has Alexa and Google Assistant integrated: If this is something you need. Personally, I didn’t.
The cons:
1. Bluetooth is still version 4.2 – This is not too much of a pain honestly.
2. Not great for wearing beyond 2 hours. Ear pads tend to feel warm and moist because of the ear isolation
3. Noise cancellation is not as great as the WH-1000XM3, but then again, these headphones are geared towards bass heads. The noise cancellation holds up quite reasonably. However, if you’re looking for total noise isolation and bass is not necessarily what you’re looking for, the WH-1000XM3 is what you want.
Neutral:
Carry case is included. It’s not much other than being light and polyester based. It won’t offer much protection. You might consider getting your own. I have mine, which is why I’m neutral on this.
Verdict: These headphones are my jam! They hold up well and are fairly durable. Noise cancellation is good enough for me and I’ve tuned my sound to have just the right amount of bass.

Trust me I’ve tried every single headphones available in the market ranging between 8k upto 35k. Crushers, sennheiser, sony, bose like every brand. And i found these pair the value for the money. Only the ANC isn’t that powerful that you’ll find on xm3s or qc variants.
Sounds pretty good.
Highs are very good.
Mids are somewhat weaker but better than competitors in the same price range. Throws a very balanced bass.
Really great product by sony.
