The product is a very thin black lotion. It would have been better if it was thicker. I do not especially like the smell. Waiting to finish this tube so I can re-order their other turmeric based face wash which is excellent.

An the front side they say that it is parabin and SLS free and u can clearly see at the back thaf it so contains sodium lauryl sulphate(SLS).A big big lie.my skin is sensitive and i got rashes as it feels like BLACK SUNSILK SHAMPOO.A genuine review

Worst face wash i have tried till date
I dont know how people are writing good reviwes about it
First of all the scent is very strong unbearable and disgusting,second it makes my skin dry may be coz of multani mitti it is having but even the mulati mitti alone doesnt makes my skin that dry these two things can be beared any how but the main thing is it makes your facial hair golden may bee coz of coffee it is having it looks like that you have done bleach but even bleach also doesnt makes your hair that golden
After applying it for 2-3 times i realised that my facial hair has turned golden and they are visible i stopped using and all my money got wasted …

Got all the 3 variants of these face washes by Mama Earth. They are so amazing. It helps me in getting rid of all the dirt and dust which my skin goes through. They have a mild fragrance. The best part all of them are Paraben Free ! Super affordable and worth the money.

I had previously purchased ubtan face wash and was very much pleased with the results. It removes tan and gives an instant glow.
But this charcoal face wash does much more to a combination skin like mine. I use this in the evening after taking half of Pune’s pollution in my face on my way back and I don’t have to worry about the dirt accumulation and pore blockage anymore.
The smell is OK, ofcourse it will smell a bit like charcoal but it doesn’t last after you splash water. So I guess it’s okto bear the smell for a few seconds.
Just two words for Mama earth – Simply superb!!! ❤️

2) Remove all dirt and gently clean your skin, give natural glow.
3) And yes even normal skin tone person can also use..

I really don’t know why on earth, Mama earth calls this a charcoal face wash!!
Seriously??? Is this what you call charcoal???? Where the hell is charcoal???
Doesn’t feel or smell like charcoal at all!!
The product looks light transparent grey in color. I suspect that some artificial color has been mixed to make it look like charcoal.
My skin started itching like hell!! Worsened my acne. Not much of foam also and doesn’t feel like a face wash. You don’t feel clean at all.
Needless to say, the smell is even more horrible. Even detergents and toilet cleaners smell better.
This face wash is not worth even a single penny. Our traditional face washes like besan/green gram powders are far more superior to be even compared this piece of crap!
Pathetic product. If you have acne prone skin, don’t even think of purchasing this in your wildest dreams!
