Give a good read on Maltodextrin.
Even the one that is got diabetic patients is actually not good.
It’s very wrong mislead people into believing that it could be used by people with diabetes

I am very sorry to note that Sucralose is added in Ensure diabetes care.
In the container itself it is printed “This contains Sucralose. Not recommended for children”. When it is not recommended for children, is it suitable for elders with diabetes. Recent study on Sucralsoe concludes it is among the unexpected diabetes triggers. So if you’ve been wondering if sucralose is good for diabetes, the clear answer is no — it actually increases your risk of this serious condition. It may cause the following also Increases Risk of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s Disease, Leaky Gut, may Generate Toxic (and Carcinogenic) Compounds When Heated and associated with Weight Gain.

If are worried about any of your loved ones who is suffering from low nutrition, blood sugar etc and who isn’t able to consume hard foods due to some health conditions then just grab some packs of it and stir it well with a glass of hot water and feed it. You’ll notice improvements after few days. Also the flavor is very good! Just note that this one is not for kids only for adults.

The powder tastes awful. The flavour is very artificial and it sort of reeks of something strange. Needless to say that the entire thing remains uneaten.
Moreover it hardly give any extra protein. The recommended dose is six scoops that gives just 10 g of protein but lot of discomfort in the tummy.

Ensure Diabetes Care, says the label, specially formulated for Diabetics. And more expensive than the normal variety of Ensure. Bought Ensure Diabetes Care for the first time, but am clearly not impressed. Surprisingly, this variety “specially formulated for Diabetics”, is almost as sweet as the usual, lower priced variety of Ensure, which makes me wonder if this “Diabetes Care” variety of Ensure is just a “old wine in a new bottle” kind of gimmick with a fancy name and label to match, to fool diabetics into buying the product. And to make things worse, it causes severe constipation. Therefore, diabetics would do well to avoid this Ensure variety, because the only thing it ensures is that you fall for their sales gimmick and lose your money!

Although the product packing says “formerly known as Glucerna SR”, the taste is not as good. Also the Glucerna SR packing (sealed tin) was much more handy (practical). Many of us depend on this food supplement, so would be nice if the original product were brought back.
