I was seeking a 17.3 inch laptop for everyday use. I am not a gamer or rather say I hate games. There are various brands providing 17.3 inch variants. But I chose MSI after reading the reviews here. And also saw the images which indicates that the power button of this laptop is not with keyboard. Power button in keyboard is horrible. I rejected other brands’ variants only for that.
Now come to this one. A beautiful display with 144mhz refresh rate. I don’t know what to do with that, but it’s beautiful. Really beautiful 😍
With 8gb RAM and 500GB nvme SSD and i5(10th gen) quad core processor, the boot time is fast but not as fast as my previous one which I exchanged with it in a reasonable price. Also, that doesn’t bother me. Difference for few seconds is ignorable.
Windows 11 installed instantly. I don’t like Windows 11 , but there’s nothing I can do about it.
Norton antivirus is installed for 60 days trial. I never used antivirus before. I always depended on windows defender before. But I like this one. I am thinking that I would renew Norton after the trial period.
The MSI dragon center is an excellent environment. You have to turn your webcam off/on from there. There are other options in it too. Webcam is decent enough.
Now come to battery- It frighteningly drains fast if you play games in extreme performance mode. My 10 years old son once played Asphalt9. The gaming experience to him was excellent but 20 minutes of playing consumes 50% of battery. Although there are ways to save battery charge.
Keyboard is fine. Touchpad is little shaky. I don’t konw if it’s a good or bad things for gamers. Build quality is good enough for me.
Overall, it’s a good laptop in around 60k. The seller Apario retail is also good and trustworthy. My suggestion, if your budget permits then go for it. Do not buy 15.6 inch laptop. 17.3 inch will give you vast space which is very comfortable for multitasking.

I purchased this laptop 3 months ago and currently I’m having no issues with the performance of the laptop. The build quality of this laptop in on the lower side and the large 17.3 inch screen+body makes it fragile as well. But people need to remember that large 17.3 inch laptops are not ment to be carried around like a normal laptop. So if you wanna increase the life of your laptop
1) use this on a flat table with hinges raising the bottom of the table.
2) if and when you are gaming get a laptop cooler(decent one around 900) with minimum 2 fans. The cooling is increased drastically.
3) Try to use it in dust free area and always lift the screen from the centre. Hinge health is important for this laptop.
4) By default this laptop has overclocking enabled(2.5 GHz➡️ 4Ghz) which is the main reason your laptop temps go over 75 even while browsing heavily. So I’ve shared a video of how to remedy that.
5) always clean your laptop of dust and grime. And never open the screen by force.
6) most importantly go to MSI dragon center➡️ tools and check battery settings as best for battery while gaming plugged in. This limits your charging to 60 percent. U will thank me later.

Gaming – 8/10
Battery – 2/10
Display – 8/10
CPU runs hotter than the GPU. MSI dragon center must be installed for cooler boost function unless you wanna cook something on it !!. USB ports are unusually tight. Display is just amazing as the bezels are significantly thinner which makes the laptop not much oversized than the 15.6 inch laptops. Battery is an absolute trash. I’ve noticed some backlight bleeding at the bottom right corner of the screen. Overall build quality is good, strong and sturdy. For 58K, this baby is an absolute win

Pros that makes it Good
*Sound: 7
*Picture Quality: 8
*Videos watching experience: 9
*Gaming: 7
*Multitasking: 8
Cons that makes it Average
*Heating issues (70° within 20min)
*Finger magnet on body and lid
*CPU exhaust very near to screen
*No MS Office
*Can’t undervolt as the CPU is locked
*51 Watt battery not enough to play under high settings
For Gaming (1080p High settings)
Gta V: 40-50 FPS
Beyond Two souls: 40-45 FPS
Shadow of TR: 35-40 FPS
Rocket League: 50-60 FPS
Subnautica: 45-50 FPS
Fortnite: 40-45 FPS
So, final thoughts, not very good in gaming but can handle AAA titles.
If you’re looking for a big screen play with average performance, go for it or else get GF63 with RTX 3050.
Edit as of 22.03.22:
*It’s not at all a 144Hz refresh rate screen. Misleading advertising.
*Hard to play most AAA titles… GTX 1650 can’t take that much load.
*CPU is not strong enough to load even multiple pages in Chrome

I like the Product but since its brand new and I have not installed any games as the SSD given 500gb out of wich only 300gb is what yull get and can not install an internal SSD because it will void the 2years warranty period, so basically I’m stuck with 500gbbfor 2 years untill unless I connect an external SSD
Apart from that fact I felt even I have kept the Laptop clean and new it takes about 13-17 sec to boot up , my Desktop pc take up 3-4 sec comparing an i5 to i7 plus given the extra fact that it is gaming laptop

The media could not be loaded.
Screen wiggles more often.
The hot air is directly exposed to screen which makes screen hot.
Keyboard and mouse are not good enough.
Heats up very quickly with no more heavy usgae.
Battery backup is too poor.
