I bought this laptop because of the price and specs it had. And here are my thoughts.

This laptop is pretty good in what it says it does. You can play any game at low-mid graphics. I have played God of War 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, Forza Horizon 5, Valorant and PUBG on it. After careful testing, here’s my pros and cons.

    Pros:
    1) Excellent for the price.
    2) Can play any game or run any software on low-medium specs.
    3) Super-fast due to the ssd.
    4) Easy optimization through Dragon Center.
And on and on. I could go on all day.

    Cons:
    1) The first thing I noticed was the screen had backlight bleed on the edges. You could spot light beams at certain spots on the edges of the laptop (only on dark screens, you won’t see it on light screens or any other colour other than black) . At first, it was a lot of discomfort, but after using it a while, I got used to it. Now, backlight bleed depends on your luck. Sometimes you might not get it, and sometimes you might get too much. Just be aware of the issue, and if it’s too bad, just replace the laptop and get a new one(which might still have bleeding, but could be negligible).

    2) The build quality is below average. It’s completely plastic and is super bendy and flexible. Do not compare it to the build quality of dell laptops. It’s okay if you don’t touch it too much. I use an external keyboard and mouse, so my laptop is propped up on the laptop stand, thus not needing any sort of movement.

    3) The body attracts fingerprints. And it’s super visible. Rubbing with a cloth won’t remove it either. You will need some microfiber cloth with rubbing alcohol to remove those fingerprint stains. Again, try not to touch it too much.

    4) 144Hz display won’t work with the i5 processor. All the games I’ve tested, even on the lowest graphics settings wont go anywhere near 144Hz. RDR2 at low got me around 60fps. So don’t bother buying it to get 144Hz. Ain’t gonna work with the i5. You might as well just get a 120Hz display laptop.

    5) Super heavy and large. The laptop has a 17inch screen and weighs 2.3Kgs. You cannot carry it around like you would with normal 14inch or 15.6 inch laptops. It’s too heavy to hold with a single hand. So keep that in mind. Again, try to use it as a portable workstation.

    6) Over-heating. The CPU averages 50-60°C during normal work and goes to 85-95°C during gaming. It’s super hot and burns your hand near the vents and area’s of the cpu. I have enabled using the cooler boost (which keeps the fans spinning at max rpm) during gaming, to reduce the cpu temperatures to 75-85°C. It’s super noisy during gaming because of the cooler boost, but worth it if you wish to use the laptop long-term. Just use headphones during gaming to counter the noise problem.

    6) The battery on this laptop is below-average. Like any gaming laptop with High performance CPUs, the battery doesn’t last long, even with battery saver enabled. I don’t think it will last for more than 2 hours on battery doing normal work. And don’t even think about gaming using the battery. Always plug it in while playing games.

That’s all I have for now. Will be updating anything as it comes up. As far as my recommendation goes, it’s an excellent laptop for its price. However, if you do have 15-20k more to spend, go for something better. I am happy with my choice and plan to use it for atleast 4 years.

I can never suggest msi, a loptop which limits user upgradable capabilities. Only few service centers exist in India. Beware before buying. I say stay clear of this junk.

The delivery is good, it is delivered with in 2 days and it is in good package.
This is the first time I am using the MSI laptop. I am impressed with the performance, screen size, the booting time is very less and instantly opening all tabs. All configurations are matched with the production description.
The only issue I am seeing is no indicator for showing for battery charging except in taskbar.

Update after RAM Upgrade: I upgrade the RAM from inbuilt 8GB to 16GB with Crucial 2666mhz RAM. Booting for first two to three times took more time than usual and later it was working normally.

Got the first laptop it has battery draining issue
Replaced it and got a new one
The second laptop has screen bleeding issue but it doesn’t affect much its battery backup is also good
It has good ventilation for the air flow
And fans run at 6000 above rpm when turned on cooler boost.
This laptop display is big enough and has 350 nits brightness.
This laptop is Good for heavy gamers

Initially I was afraid whether the camera was faulty. But later after some googling I realised it was good feature added to the laptop that you can manually switch of the camera therby enhancing your privacy. The performance is good and gets a battery life according to the performance.

The laptop stopped working on the 9th day. The display went off. The return period is just for 7 days. I’m not able to get an exchange. Very bad customer service when it comes to returns and exchanges. The product might be a defective one. I want a complete replacement. I bought this by looking at the seller which is reputed however their return policy is pathetic. Why should a brand new laptop be repaired ? A brand new laptop stopped working all of a sudden. I want a complete replacement

    No complaints with the delivery.
The product is absolute crap. Very rough edges, poorly designed layout, poor weight distribution etc. Decent performance but a design nightmare
