It’s quite a big TV with stunning display and excellent sound. Installation was excellent. Nice service as well.

There is no mention of RAM or ROM. Someone replied that it is 2 GB and 16 GB but another one said that the storage is just 4.4 GB. Didn’t believe the latter and suffering now. Even budget TVs are offering 2GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. Total storage is just 4.4 GB. With just a few apps installed, leftover storage is just 1 GB. All online reviewers conveniently overlooked this aspect.
Sony Support has no clue about this TV or any TV for that matter. I have been trying to enable the TV mic to make video calls in Duo but Duo always says that the Mic is used by another app and to close it. It is not allowing or recognizing my webcam mic either. Support has no clue about how to enable or disable TV mic or connected mics. They don’t even know if there is a mic though a mic testing app recognizes the TV built-in mic and uses it.
Support does not even read what you write. They just have some standard answers that they auto reply.

I was about buy this tv, i have found something that sony is hiding.
The US version of this TV has 16 GB storage memory and Indian version has 4 GB. This is a clear partiality. We are paying more and getting less storage in it, also remember storage now a days are so cheap! Sony did partiality for some peanuts savings which is unbelievable. Even 16 GB not enough and they are giving 4 GB storage. The saddest part is SONY hidden this from their specification. Also, this TV has very high reflection compared to other TV, the problem is X80J has less brightness than competitors even low than their 2020 model X80H. This is actually downgrade in terms of picture quality. Believe me unfortunately, we are not getting the same panel quality of US version, so dont blindly believe what reviewers are saying, as they are based on international market model. Sony why you did this partiality to Indians?

Overall nice tv. but only 4.4 gb storage??????? and 1.2 gb only usable storage????? Can’t install more than 4-5apps, it says delete some data. Forget about games.

,LED panel damaged only in two months. Sony is not responding. They are saying that it is not covered in warranty. They are charging too much even in warranty period after two months from purchasing of the TV. I have raised my complaints and after passing more than 4 to 5 they responded today and started to say that it is physical damaged and we are not responsible for the same. Request higher ups to see our case and resolve our problem immediately.

Firstly, my brand new Bravia stopped working after just 9 days. Wow!! So firstly quality!
Then it took them 1 week to just send someone to my house to check, after multiple follow ups.
Post that there is still no news of when it will be replaced!
No communication on any channel from Sony. Such a huge disappointment from such a brand.
Please do not buy a Sony. It’s not worth the picture and sound quality.

I have purchased 43″ model in different site.
I have spend too much time to decide best TV for me but sadly no one talk about glare/reflection of TV.
I have spend much money for brand and for best TV for me.
but I have disappointed with the reflection in TV.
We can’t use this TV in bright room. you have option to increase brightness but you need to take care of your eyes too.
If you can ignore glare/reflection and want to use in dark room then TV is best for picture quality/sound quality.
Today’s days there are TV’s available in market with less glare so sony should adopt it.

So I got this for my dad 40 days back. We have used LG, Samsung, Vu LED Tv in the past but they have never given an issue like this. There is no display on the tv since yesterday. I have done a lot of troubleshooting but can’t get it to work. Sony Customer Care keeps saying we will receive a call from the technician. Then saying it didnt happen yesterday because it was a Sunday. Meanwhile, I am feeling robbed of my investment. There is no display, only sound comes out, backlight is on but no display. Very disappointed. We are probably going to sell this tv and get a cheaper branded one. Whether its a software issue or a hardware issue you expect better resolution and no faults at this price range.
**UPDATE 23/11/2021**
Within 72-96 hours of reporting the issue and the engineer visit, Sony sent us a seal packed TV. The technician came and installed the tv, uninstalled our old tv. I was happy to see this resolution. They did not give us a renewed tv but a new one. The new tv works fine. It’s been ok for 3-4 weeks. Fingers crossed. The good news is we have 3 year warranty.
