Amazing quality! I’ve used gimbal stabilizers for a while now and so far this one I like the most. I like the packaging that it comes in. It can be used to store and transport it instead of having it in the backpack or laying around the house. My previous one broke because it was in the backpack that got squished. I like that it has a display and it’s easy to see the mode that you’re in. And I absolutely love that it comes with the light already mounted in! No need to figure out how to attach the light to it or to the camera. The only thing to keep in mind is if you want to use your phone for filming, you’ll need to get a camera – phone holder kind of mount, as this one doesn’t come with it. Overall super happy with the product.

I will be mainly using this for sony 6500 but I have testing using the Sony a7r iii with a lighter lens and it does work well with it. Just note that when using a full frame camera the movement will be some what limited due to camera body hitting the arm.
I wish there was a bit more room for adjustment for mirrorless full frame cameras, but can’t really complain with the performance to price ratio.
Overall, it is good to carry around as it is compact and it comes with carrying case and cable to be connected to the camera as well. Also the built-in light was good for low light environments.

I hate shaky video… this solves that issue in a compact and easy to use system. With the built in light as well, this takes your filming to the next level.
The system is easy to use, navigate and set up. To install your camera, its easy and the gimbal practically does it for you. Pop your camera on and position it correctly and you are ready to record some epic stabilized video.
The grip is so easy to handle, the buttons are in the perfect place as well making all the controls easy to access. Everything feels extremely sturdy and well put together so you aren’t dealing with a cheap piece of machinery.
The features built in are incredible. From panning to tilting and making unique perspectives, this gimbal does it all.
I have really enjoyed using this so far and cant wait to use it more often and get some very stable videos. Highly recommend anyone who has a camera that this gimbal works with to purchase. You wont regret it.

This gimbal is the perfect in-between size for my GoPro and smaller mirrorless cameras. I have a beefier gimbal for my 4k BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera because it’s a heavy camera, but that gimbal can’t really be used with my GoPro or if I want to also run a smaller b-camera. The Crane M2S is perfect for that. It’s nice and compact, but feels very solid in my hands. It was easy to balance based on the instructions in the user manual that came with it and the official Zhiyun channel on YouTube has helpful tutorials if you need more guidance. I mounted my GoPro on it and tested it out with my dog. My balancing could’ve probably been better, but I think it did a pretty good job keeping the camera stable as I chased after her. My initial thoughts about it are overall positive and I’m excited to play around with it more!

I ordered the Crane M2S to use my GoPro (Hero 9) more creatively in more places. It certainly does do that, but it has even more features that I would like to use with a small camera. This device is a functional combination of features in a lightweight but sturdy design. It is light enough that I plan to teach my 9-year-old granddaughters to use it.
Adding a small camera would allow me to not only use more features of the gimbal, but to also use more features of the included software, ZY Play.
The Crane is simiple and fun. I especially like being able to do a 180-degree panoramic view with the trigger. The vortex view is also fun. A click of the Mode button turns the lens toward the sky, or toward the ground if you invert the handle, or anywhere in between. You can add a smooth swivel right or left with the thumb joystick.
The foam case is compact and sturdy. It will protect the gimbal in a backpack or a suitcase. The quick disconnect is helpful. I didn’t think I’d use it because I was only using one camera. Then the GoPro needed to be charged and the quick disconnect made a lot of sense.
Photographic technology, in my view, seems to be evolving in step with computer technology. With this device, the photographer can respond nimbly to record special moments and experiences. Then the photographer can transform the video using computer technology to create even more sophisticated memories or documentation or whatever expression the photographer desires.
If you are planning to use a GoPro, note that the GoPro requires a tripod adapter to attach to the gimbal. While I had a number of accessories, I didn’t have that one, so ordered it after I received my initial order. While I waited for the adapter, I experimented with my smartphone (Galaxy S22 Ultra) on the gimbal. I had a problem with my phone overheating. This was not my first overheating event. I see that other users have had overheating problems with this model phone. I will troubleshoot this situation further and update my review if I find a solution. Of interest, the ZY Play software alerted me to the overheating situation and asked me to disconnect the devices.
