The one star is not a reflection of the quality of these headphones. They are superb and some and amazing. However, my purchase was ruined by the service from Amazon.
When I received the unit, the box appeared to be tatty but the headphones looked new. Then, I installed the Bowers & Wilkins app. The app has a list of which phones to connect to, including 3 old ones. Amazon had sent me used headphones! I double-checked on the B&W app which confirmed the headphones remember previous connections. The headphones must be reset to remove the previous connections.
It got worse. Not only were the headphones used, once I began to play music, but I also discovered why they had been returned. The speaker on the left side was blown. Bass sounded cracked, loose and awful.
Returned the headphones to Amazon for a full refund and will be very careful before ordering high-value items from them again. Come on Amazon, you’re better than this, well used to be.

These were purchased to replace an elderly pair of B&W PX5 headphones that in my opinion were superior in audio performance, but unfortunately one channel has stopped working. From the start it was clear that the audio performance of the PX7 is inferior to the PX5. The bluetooth facility kept ‘dropping out’ unless the internal battery was charged before each use. Even in that case it was not guaranteed to stay connected. Now after six months, during which time they have only been used for about two hours a week, the RHS ear piece has failed, very disappointing. The noise cancelling facilty seemed to have no effect whatsoever. The performance using bluetooth was far inferior to using the connecting cable supplied with the headphones. Long term comfort of B&W headphones was never a strong point and that feature has been carried over to this incarnation. I am trying to return these to the retailer under warranty for replacement or refund. An unhappy story for a product that I could not recommend.
Since writing the above I am happy to report that Seven oaks audio have performed excellently. They handled the return and replacement of the faulty item without any problem,I can recommend the seller. My impression of the overall performance of the B&W headphones has not changed.

I loved the original pair, the PX, but these just don’t measure up. The design is better and they’re lighter, meaning they’re more comfortable. But there just not as good as the competition.
I have in fact just exchanged them for a pair of Sony WH1000M3 which I’ll say do measure up. Significantly cheaper, punchier, better bass and all round clarity.
The PX7s are good but not great & certainly not worth the price.

Sounds better than any wireless headphones easily. But I liked sound stage of older p7 wireless model but comfortable than the latter. Enjoining every moment

These headphones are beautifully built. They connect via Bluetooth flawlessly and have good noise cancellation properties. They are reasonably light in weight and remain comfortably and firmly in place. The overall sound balance is good, very good indeed for anyone on the move who likes a very strong bass, but therein lies ap problem. For quiet listening at home that bass can overbalance the whole musical perspective, shifting the focus of the sound down to the bass.
For example, a fine, well-recorded performance of Cesar Franck’s sonata for violin and piano was transformed into a piece for a majestic piano with a violin struggling somewhere beneath it. The piano sound itself was excellent but so heavy towards the bottom noted that it overwhelmed the performance. Therein lies a problem: it you like a heavy bass the PX7 sound will be very pleasing, in many ways it could hardly be bettered, especially since the sound stage is wide and has a sense of depth, but the your focus will always be on the bass. If B&W had provided an equaliser function so that the balance could be adjusted to suit the PX7s would be superb. I hope they will move in that direction quickly: these headphones deserve it

Only had the px 7’s for a few days, so far these headphones are far more comfortable than the previous px model. The sound is superb with wide separation, good bass excellent mids and great highs.battery life is really good 30 hours with usb-c charging, also a hard case is provided. Will update review after a couple of weeks.2 weeks later and my thoughts about the px 7s, they are not very comfortable, after about 30 minutes I’m having to adjust their position time and time again. The other problem is that i find the noise cancelling is not good at all, I’m wearing them and listening to music with noise cancelling on and I can still hear the tv sound, kind of a humming sound, will give them another week before deciding wether to return them or not.final thought, I returned them because of the clamping force and noise cancelling, i think that they are overpriced for what they are.
