Bought this laptop primarily for my son for his online class. After few days I realized that the laptop is facing overheating issue; bit more google search I realized that it is common problem with Inspiron 5418 model.
Almost same time I bought another laptop Dell Inspiron 5515, which is far better that 5418.
Also check if you have bought it from apperio retail then for sure they have mentioned wrong serial number on invoice and warranty slip. Because of wrong serial number on invoice/warranty slip, Dell is denying my warranty claim. Now I am following up 100 time with amazon and Dell.

Thin and light laptop good for working professionals. It comes with Windows11 and Office21 and 15months of McAfee Antivirus. Aluminium front and Palm rest area. The touchpad is nice and smooth. Anti glare is awesome. Battery lasts for 4-5 hours easily on normal usage. Mild heating in the fan area and that’s normal since the processor is 11320-H these are high performance processor so consume more battery and exhale more heat than regular Intel G series processor. Nice typing experience. Only bad thing that I have found the display could have been 300nits. This laptop is strictly not for gaming.

I was looking to replace my laptop with Specific configurations (i5, 16 GB Ram, min 512GB SSD). This laptop is just perfect for my requirement and received 12k for exchange (good deal). Without any second thought bought the laptop. It’s been more than 2 weeks, not a single complaint so far. Battery back up is very good.

Great start up speed! Doesn’t take time to load at all (this is after 4 mths of usage)
Super impressed!! Considering the price.
(However, only issue I faced – the MSO couldn’t be registered as the product license key had reach upper limit of users.
Dell will not be able to help you with this. Got mine registered through Microsoft helpdesk. )
