Underwater quality of image when used with watertight enclosures is bad. It is not focused. Further, one outdoor usage and pocket camera worth ₹. 11,990/- became dead. Not powering on.
Amazon may please help to repair device under warranty.

There are videos all over YouTube that say how good this gimbal camera is. I agree with them. It is lovely to hold and to use and I won’t repeat what plenty of others have said. Instead, let me offer you a warning.
Out of the box, this Osmo Pocket is a brick. It will not do anything. You have to go through a ridiculous procedure to get it to work. First you must register an account on the dji website, even if you did not buy it from them. Only then can you get the thing to work by loging into this account through the app and going through the activation process. All other reviews of this gimbal camera just say that it works with both Apple and Android phones and wave the two connectors at you to prove it. What they fail to tell you is that it will only work with SELECTED ONES. I immediately hit trouble with my brand new Huawei which would not work through the login. I phoned the European help line and was told loads of stuff like reload the app and check my registration. Then they sent me an email which they said would sort it. The email was in Chinese. Translated by Google it said “press on the back to resolve”. What?!!!
I then emailed dji direct and was finally told – sorry it doesn’t work with your phone, only those on the list. To solve my problem I have had to purchase an old iPhone 6 and that worked fine.
So don’t buy this if your phone isn’t on the list and don’t ever waste your time on the phone to the EU help line cos they haven’t a clue.
One further thing – I have just purchased a USB c to 3.5mm connector so that I could plug in my external microphone to my Osmo Pocket, but it does not work. So, it looks like I’ll just have to wait till they finally make their own device available, and no doubt pay through the nose for it. But I think I read of someone who had done this successfully, so I’ll keep researching.

An Amazing product from Dji, live the portability and it turn ON quickly and ready to shoot. I wish if it had a little more battery capacity, but 2 hours shooting life is more than enough if you manage to turn off it while not in use. Also, everyone has a Power bank nowadays. Tiny guy that can capture high quality stable videos!

    Battery life is bad
And you can use micro usb phones by using C type OTG, its working with Micro usb 🥰😍🤩

Connect C type OTG to DJI pocket camera, then use data/charger Cable to connect your Micro usb port phones… It working well, i have tried this method, and never contact dji support they will tell you to change your phone to iPhone or C type port phones.

Camera quality is awesome, need to do some settings for better quality videos, photo. Quality is notmal, easy to use, handy small camera,
You need to buy accesories like Controller, wireless device, holders seperately.

Overall good, must buy if you are a vlogger or tiktoker

First of all, I will give 0 star rating to the seller. Mainly because he ( Appario Retail Private Ltd ) sent me the product which was manufactured way back in August 2019. More than 2 years old !. SERIOUSLY ?!. I felt cheated and robbed when I saw that, all my excitement went down the drain. Tried to replace it only to be surprised to see that there’s only return policy and the seller doesn’t it sell anymore. Bought for 11,990 /- and if I return I have to buy the same item for 13,999/- from a different seller by spending 2K more. Also I received a CHINEESE retail unit INSTEAD of an INDIAN or INTERNATIONAL retail unit. So either you sell the right stuff or don’t get into this business !. The only thing that kept me from returning this is :
    1) I don’t have 2K more to spend on another seller because YOU SOLD ME THAT FOR 11.9K ! and YOU CHEATED ME !
    2) I thought the battery might get affected, but to my surprise its good enough.

The packing was horrible, this is by far the worst packaging I have seen from AMAZON. Period !.

Now about the product. Well if u don’t have a good camera phone and u don’t have the urge to spend money on a good Camera Phone and you r confused between buying a gimbal and the Osmo Pocket, trust me GO FOR THIS !. But make sure to buy the expansion pack too, that will improve its usability.
Don’t expect good night photos/videos and trust me no mobiles under 20K has this capability too. So for the price u pay, it’s worth the money.

The product gets hot, Too Hot at times. That’s a let down. The lens is 28mm, so its not wide enough. But I hate wide photos and videos so I am okay with it. Do your research b4 buying this and don’t show ur stupidity for what its not built for. The build quality is premium. Stabilization is Okay-ish, better than EIS of mobiles I would say. Good for YouTube beginners and Cinematography beginners too. It has the capability for good B-Rolls. I think its made for B-Rolls. Take good night shots in Pro Mode, and the Video in pro mode in daylight is too good !. Excellent I would say. You better use this product under good lighting or during the day.

I would say for the money I paid, its truly worth it !. I really like it !.

The Osmo will not operate without installing DJI’s Mimo app. The Mimo app *requires* that you create an account and upload data about your phone to their server as part of an “activation” process. The Mimo app demands location information (on both Android and iOS) and refuses to run unless you agree to these terms.

This is a completely unacceptable privacy violation.

I bought the camera. I should be able to use it without having to “activate” it first – especially when the activation is a privacy nightmare.

Good for motionlapse and for daylight shoot! It may overheat in 4k continuous recording.make sure to buy a UHS U3 SDXC CLASS 10 memory card. battery life is somewhat near one and half hours (1:30hrs🔋)and it stretch it to two and half hours(2:30hrs) for timelapse.Focus is intermittent not so great for macro. Overall the dji osmo pocket is a budget and pocket friendly cinema camera. It fits in pocket as mentioned.Best beginner camera for shooting cinematic videos.

I have been waiting a very long time for this camera to appear. I love recording our holidays abroad and for the last couple of years I have been recording in 4k. Until the arrival of this product I went away with a couple of action cameras, including a Gopro Hero 6, my 4K Sony camcorder, an iPhone 6 and two gimbals. All of this equipment gave great results, but, I had to carry a bag around with me in order to have it all at hand or try and guess which equipment would be most suitable for the activities planned for the day.

The DJI Osmo Pocket can be used in place of the camcorder, the phone with gimbal and for the most part the GoPro wth gimbal. I will only be taking this camera and the GoPro next time and no gimbals. The only issue that I can see is that I will not have an optical zoom capability without the camcorder, not a big deal as far as I am concerned.

The DJI comes packaged in a strong compact box and inside you will find: The Camera, a hard plastic carrying case, a wrist strap for the carrying case, a USB to USB C charging cable, a USB C connector, an apple lightning connector, a set of instructions and a few more pieces of paperwork. The two connectors are to allow you to connect the camera to your phone, please see the video. If your phone does not have either an apple lightning connection or USB type C connection, do not buy this product, because as far as I am aware, you cannot use it until you have downloaded the DJI Mimo app, connected the phone and activated it. There may be another way to activate the camera, but I am not aware of one.

The process of activation was a little confusing, but in all fairness it only took a couple of minutes and you have to create a profile with DJI in the process. The app allows you to control the camera via the phone and alter settings etc. I did not spend a lot of time looking at it because the whole idea of this camera as far as I am concerned, is that it fits easily into your pocket and can be pulled out, turned on and used to capture great quality video; anytime any place anywhere, without any fuss. It certainly can do that. I have posted this review on YT if you want to see the video in 4K, unfortunately Amazon compress the files so it is not possible to see how good it is on here.

The camera has two buttons, the one on the left is the on/off/mode button and the one on the right is the shutter release/record button. as well as these buttons there is a very small touch screen that allows you to use the camera and in use it is quite good. The menus only take a little time to get used to and they are all accessed by swiping up or down, left or right from the four sides depending on what you want to do. See the video.

In use the camera is great. The video quality is brilliant, I film mostly in 4K 30fps, but it will also record in 4K 60fps, 1080P up to 120fps. The audio quality is pretty good, certainly good enough for me. The fact that the strap does not fit the camera is ridiculous, I have nearly dropped the camera once already as it is so small. They should certainly have made a strap for the camera to loop around your wrist in use. The gimbal is amazing, hard to believe that they could manufacture it so small and still produce such good results. The start up and shut down process is a joy to watch too. There are three different operating modes for the gimbal; Follow, Tilt Locked and First Person View FPV. Please see the video.

So, as you can no doubt gather, I am very impressed with this camera. Hats off to DJI for producing such a brilliant product. It certainly ticks all of the boxes as far as I am concerned and I love it.

NERV

    Was ist schon perfekt…
